Lucy's Portfolio - APT

This is my second time of helping APT Students for their portfolio - bridal makeup photoshooting.

I got this job by chance because the photog assistant, Five asked me whether i am available for this job when i was in the studio for my convocation cum family photo shooting last year. The MUA, Lucy had been looking for a model everywhere but unfortunately she was unable to get someone despite of the photoshooting date is just a week away. Upon agreeable payment, i took up the job! ^^

Since Lucy is a newly converted Muslim, so her style would be more Malay style compared to the previous portfolio i have done for Lenny...

When i was in high school, a few of my friends said that i looked like Siti Nurhaliza... i was very doubtful with them back then.. until i saw myself in the photos below :O

not to say very look alike.. but at one glimpse.. really look a bit like her lo..

Parenthood Expo 2010

i have been working for Parenthood Expo for the passed 3 days

it's my first participation in Baby Fair as a permanent staff in Heinz

the good thing was i worked the funny gang from Summit

they're always being so nice and sweet, as usual

whenever i'm working with them

i would never have a chance or have a minute

of feeling my stomach is empty!

Christine is always gonna bring sandwiches or kuih to the booth

or else someone would be bringing Chocolates or any snacks

and keep at the booth for our own consumptions

during all the three days

On the first day

Amber Chia dropped by the event

she was invited by a number of participants of the event

because they wanted to sponsor her

some equipments or hampers for her baby

Christine and my kaima, Hooi Ping immediately jump to her side

and wanted to take photo with her

so i just follow suit once i was being their photographer

mana tau Christine is not really a good photographer

it ended up mine look soooooo blurred! =(

luckily she's still around and i manage to request for "second chance"

This was not my first time of meeting her

Previously she attended a launching event of Tudor Gold

and i was working there as usherette cum promoter

but then this is my first time that manage to take a photo with her

even those middle eastern man also came up

to take photo with her together with his daugher~

my comments to her would be friendly and nice

as what Kenji said, she's very sweet person ^^

and guess what?

even though she's pregnant

but she's wearing a pair of heels with at least 3 inches!!

OH MY~~

bet she is really an expert with high heels

DCIM 2010

i think i have seen these words before

DCIM

however i never been to one, never involved myself into one

this year i am glad that i did

because i knew a lot of awesome people

pretty models

talented photographers

wonderful make up artist

fabulous creative make ups

that keep on amazed me every time i look at them

=D

this time i had a red and blue experience

both colors are not any new experience for me

but still manage to surprise me differently

this is the awesomeness of arts i supposed

i have collected a lot of them

and so far these would be the few that i adored

busy people who enjoy photographing

as well as people who has a great passion into photographing

they're all awesome

and i guess i might overcame the fear of facing

FLASH LIGHTS of cameras

after these two days of facing numerous cameras

clicking and taking photos in front of me

it's indeed quite a special and valuable experience to me

thanks to APT for giving me another opportunity!!

APT make up show '09

once again working for APT make up show

this time i was expecting the day

since weeks ago

perhaps merely because i have known the make up artist

earlier before i meeting her on that day

Charles complained that he didn't take picture with my make up look

so we took one after my make up was removed

i liked her since the day

she took part in the Miss Astro Pageant

i thought she was gonna win a title in the competition

but then it ended up she couldn't make it

anyway she's a hostess for Jia Yu Channel~

it's really COOL

cause she's really great in hosting a show

that's her talent that made me feel so supportive for her!

that's the GREAT bonus that i get from the job~ ^^

internship

i wanted to do this for quite some time already
but i think most of you all already heard about it from me
before i can post this blog post

i have found myself an internship already

HOORAY!!

it is Malaysia Heinz Company
they had confirmed me already
contract was already signed by me
and submitted back to them

so the good news is
my allowance is relatively higher
compared to any of the interns in the industry
i guess if i say higher than in all the industry
it may not be too over
hahahahaha
except for the nutritionist girl
that she got 2K for her promoter job kind of internship
rm 1200 per month is really high high for me
initially i thought i heard Ivy saying rm1000 over the phone
i was thrilled and excited already
but then when i proceed on reading the contract
that she sent to me
i was totally shocked
hahahahaha...
the only reason that i can think of
"maybe they need me to use my car"
anyway, i think it won't be that bad
cause i am driving Viva anyway
should be quite fuel efficient

and i am very grateful with that
even though i am not sure
what are they expecting from me
what are they planing exactly for me
but i think it's time for me
to gain back my adventurous spirits

it's not that easy for me to get this internship company
because i don't have any of the connection
as someone has
because i don't want to waste any much longer time
to compete with others with those companies
that get through my faculty
that would be another torturing act for me
because their speed is darn slow
and i know cannot really blame the UPM staff
cause those food companies
also are those keep on delaying to reply them
i can see that they are going for interviews in a big group
which is something that i would never choose to do
because the more people going together
the lesser chances you will be getting anything
or else only one or two person will be getting something
it's all depends on LUCK

anyway though my big plan of escaping to other state
is officially announced as a failure
but i am still feeling satisfied with the result at this moment
at least i get to work in a company
that i find it potentially helping me in future
i really hope that being with Heinz is going to
change my perception of staying back in the industry
and i must i MUST grab this chance
and perform as good as i do

praying really hard that
they won't be so cruel to have terminated me
before my internship ends

because of their concern
and how nice they had listened to
all my grumbles and complains
