What A "LUCKY" Day

Wow.. it's been a long while since i last updated my blog
and i just realized that i rarely have written anything
throughout the whole year of 2010
i guess i am still more comfortable with
bloggong with my lousy English
after all not much people visiting it anyway
LOL

it's SATURDAY and went for movie with Valerie
but before the movie time
i feel like having some exercise!
so I have arranged with her earlier
for me to drop by her place for a swimming session
before we go for our lunch and movie at noon

and then i receive a SURPRISE OF THE DAY from the PDRM
i parked my car along the road outside of her apartment building
AS USUAL
but today i found a piece of paper with some beautiful handwriting
lying on my babie's windscreen
a summon that stated I parked my car illegally
and obstructed the traffic on the road
indeed my car is not!! Bloody Hell
the funniest thing is no summone amount was written
so Val helped to check with her friend and even her boss
anyway, we only managed to figure out the amount of the summon
when we are at the traffic police summon payment counter~
it's RM 100... Ladies and Gentlemen...
now i can remember very well...
what's so different between a summon given by the local authorities and police
anyway perhaps i am "LUCKY" enough
with the discounted summon period still on going
so i managed to get 50% discount at RM 50 instead
well.. it's kinda like a bonus to me already
at least it's not 100 bucks
but this is the most expensive swimming trip
that i have ever experienced

today managed to get some free movie tickets from Hilary
who works in Cathay Cineplex
thanks babe~
finally we managed to watch 127 hours today!
this movie has get itself a seat on my To-Watch-List
ever since i came across with a post card
with the movie synopsis and poster printed on
when i was in Singapore Clarkquay for a drink with colleagues
the actor, James Franco was being nomited for so many awards
but too bad that he did not able to win any yet

Aron Ralston definitely someone who is care free and funny
i think his memory and his illusions
kinda save him from passing out
even sooner than 127 hours he was stuck in the Blue John Canyon
honestly the part whereby he cut off his arms
really made me feel very uneasy
and i don't even feel like watching it with my own eyes
i just covered my face with my hands and
i just tried to peek the screen through my fingers
but i heard it's quite real..
sorry that i was being so a coward
that part is really darn grossed MAN!
no kidding...

it's really not that simple for Aron to do that
when he was stucked there 8 years ago!!
who would be able to chop off their hand just like that
and still can walk all the way until
you meet someone on the way
and called for their help?!
i think he deserve an award at least
probably i shouldn't have judge before i watch
Colin Firth's perfomance in The King's Speech

The Other Guys

it's been a while since i last stepped into the cinema
today i went for the premier screening of
THE OTHER GUYS

thanks to Don
i managed to get two movie passes
to watch this movie

thanks to Maria for the accompany
too bad we didn't get to dine in Sushi Tei
=(
bad and lousy service before i even get a chance
to try out their food there
such a shame

before i watch the movie
i would think that it's actually an action movie
not until the moment i burst into crazy laughter
when the movie get started
i just can't help myself stop laughing
from the start until the end

the movie is basically telling two cops
who are being teamed up together
but they are a TOTAL mismatched NYPD team member
one is always being very steady (just like maria)
while the other one always being so grumpy and aggressive
(sounds a lil' bit familiar)

there are too many crazy scenes
that you can ever imagine
but definitely wouldn't expect that to be
really happening in the real life
the first crazy scene would be no doubt
The Rock and Samuel L. Jackson
drove their car recklessly
when they're trying to be the stars
or i should say heroes
just to chase after the suspect or criminals
until their whole car stuck inside the middle of the bus
OMG!
and yet they could still continue to
go after those bad guys
what a joke!

initially i thought the wife, Sheila
might be undercover arranged by the bad guys
because Eva does not seems to be a small character
and i never seen her being one in other movie
hahaha.. apparently i "think" too much jorrr
=P

anyway this is a really funny movie
i would say it's more of a comedy than an action movie
it's a really relaxing one
and i guarantee that you'd feel your jaw is tired of the non-stop laughssss
LOL

Kite Runner

Finally i get to watch this movie
i have been hearing a lot of good WOM about the movie
but i never get to watch it after the movie being released few years ago
what a sad story for a movie buff like me~ lolx~

anyway it was not as Afghan-like as what i have thought of
because they are some scenes in US as well
except for the flash back part and the part that Amir went back Kabul for Sohrab
it was really a good story... the author is an awesome writer~!
anyway in the whole movie my favorite part was the letter that Hassan wrote to Amir
the most touching scene for the whole movie
i guess Hassan might make a better writer than Amir does

Amir and Soraya have made a good looking on-screen couple!
i just checked from wiki
both of them are quite talented in learning languages
and they came from those professional families
Atossa Leoni knew 5 languages some more

in fact i google other actors in the movie as well
that's one of my favorite things to do after i finished one movie
which i find it interesting or nice to watch
most of the actors in the film have been living in so many countries before
i guess i can never be lead a life as freely as they are~
really envy them for having the opportunities to be traveling around the world

thanks to Grace for sharing this movie with me

Bubba Lunch

since Maria & her family is coming over to KL
so i get the chance to hang out with her
luckily i did not have any class on that day
thank god for that
but then mana tau when i was there
Maria told me she is cabut-ing with her IMU friends around 2pm
=.="""
so i was stunned
cause i planned to be there for few hours
and she just tell me that
she is going to One U with her other friends after lunch
so initially i was thinking
i have to shopping alone in sunway pyramid
before i heading home around 5 sth
we couldn't make up our mind on what to eat for lunch
so again, we are referring to the Directory Board
the first shop we headed to was Shogun
because i knew that they are having lunch promotion at 35%
who knows when we were there
the queue is like damn looong
and ambiance inside there was super hectic
so we waited for a while
to see whether there is any table available
anyway since of the stupidity of the waiter
we chose to leave the restaurant
without checking the table availability

so we headed for Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. instead
i heard food there are very nice
but the price also quite expensive
anyway we just wanted to give it a try
so here we are...
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
~The special part of the restaurant~
how would you want to call for the waiter and waitress?
just flip the sign boards
to either ...
RUN FORREST RUN
- just leave us alone, we don't need you for the moment

or else...
STOP FORREST STOP
-hey there, we need you to be here right away

Decor within Bubba Gump

Looking at the nice decor found everywhere in the restaurant
(Maria jing jing gai snap a picture of me)
Jenny's shirt that she wore when she is working
a nice "pail" that keeps all the sauce that u can find on every table
holding Jenny's Favourite and
wondering where is my Gump (of course the normal one) =P
Jenny's Favourite
Maria said i am not having lunch with Jenny but her
guess that she is trying to ask Bubba Gump to change
the name of this drink to Maria's Favourite
Jenny's Favourite
Strawberries, Cranberry Juice, and Non-fat Raspberry Frozen Yogurt.
Bubba's Baked Seafood Rice
even though i love cheese a lot, but this
definitely disgusted me at my first bite!
too fishy smell~!!! @_@ i nearly fainted
too bad i made the wrong decision to have order this

Let's take a look at Maria's more delicious food
by the way she said her photos are angelic portrait
=.=

Bourbon Street Mahi Mahi
Charbroiled Cajun spiced Mahi Mahi with Bourbon Sauce and grilled Shrimp, served over Mashed Potatoe
Run Forrest Run Fresh Oranges, Strawberries, Bananas and Non-fat Raspberry Frozen Yogurt.Greedy Maria - want my Jenny's Favorite as well

after the expensive and satisfied lunch
we left the place and head for TGV
finally i got to watch GI JOE!
have been hearing a lot of nice comments and reviews
for this movie
just that i still haven't get the chance to watch it

it was darn nice
at least much much much more better than District 9
it was quite a disappointment from Peter Jackson
anyway, GI Joe got many hotties and hot babes
hahaha..
a lot of cool high-techie weapons
cool one~~

some pictures snapped after finished our movie
some of the decor found in orange atrium

Drag Me To Hell

Synopsis:
In Pasadena, California in 1969, a young Mexican couple rushes to the home of medium Shaun San Dena (Flor de Maria Chahua). Their son had stolen jewelry from a group of Gypsies three days prior, and since then, has been complaining of seeing and hearing things not of this earth. San Dena tries to help the boy in a seance, but she and the boy's parents can only watch in horror as the boy is thrown from the balcony by an unseen force before being pulled into Hell by demonic hands.

Forty years later, Christine Brown (Alison Lohman), a loan officer at a local bank, hopes to be promoted to assistant manager over her conniving co-worker, Stu Rubin (Reggie Lee (actor)|Reggie Lee). Christine's boss, Mr. Jacks (David Paymer), advises her that she needs to demonstrate that she can make tough decisions when she needs to. That day, Mrs. Ganush (Lorna Raver), an elderly gypsy woman, asks for a third extension on her mortgage because she is struggling with economic problems due to an illness. To prove herself to Mr. Jacks, Christine, against her better judgment, denies Mrs. Ganush the extension. In desperation, Mrs. Ganush prostrates herself before Christine, begging and kissing the hem of her skirt. Christine panics and shoves the woman away, shaming her in public. As security guards escort Mrs. Ganush out, Mr. Jacks compliments Christine on how she handled the situation and implies that if she can close another big loan, the assistant manager position will be hers.

That night Christine is attacked in her car by Mrs. Ganush. After a violent struggle, Mrs. Ganush removes a button from Christine's jacket and uses it to place a curse on her. Mrs. Ganush disappears, leaving the cursed button with Christine. Later, Christine's boyfriend, college professor Clay Dalton (Justin Long), takes her to a coffee shop to comfort her. On the way home, they pass a fortune teller's store, and Christine insists they go in. There, they meet the fortune teller Rham Jas (Dileep Rao), who tells Christine that she has a dark spirit upon her.

Alone at home, Christine is attacked by the dark spirit, which appears as the silhouette of a goat's head. The spirit breaks some windows, cuts the power, and throws Christine across the room, causing minor injuries. Clay assumes that Mrs. Ganush followed them and attacked Christine again. However, when she insists that no one attacked her, they contact a psychologist. The psychologist says that victims of assault often relive past trauma, which seems to settle Christine. That night, Christine dreams that Mrs. Ganush attacks her in bed, and at work the next day, she has a violent nosebleed. Fleeing work, she tries to track down Mrs. Ganush at her granddaughter's home. There Christine learns that Mrs. Ganush died the previous night, and her granddaughter is in the process of holding a wake for her. Christine makes a scene by accidentally knocking over Mrs. Ganush's body, and her granddaughter tells her that she deserves what is coming for her.

Christine consults Rham Jas again, who tells her that the spirit haunting her is actually a demon called the Lamia, and that she is to be tormented by it for three days before being dragged to Hell to burn for eternity. Horrified by this revelation, Christine sacrifices her pet kitten in hopes that it will satisfy the Lamia. When the Lamia torments her during dinner with Clay's parents, Christine and Clay decide to pay $10,000 to enlist the help of the now elderly Shaun San Dena (Adriana Barraza). San Dena prepares a seance, the goal of which is to trap the Lamia in a live goat and kill it, which will destroy the Lamia. This plan backfires, however, when the Lamia assaults everyone in the room. San Dena manages to banish the Lamia from the seance, but dies in the process.

Rham Jas tells Christine that the Lamia will still return for her in just one more day unless she can find a way to stop it for good. He then tells her the only way to get rid of the curse is to give the cursed item to someone else as a gift, thereby cursing him or her. Christine seals the button from her jacket in an envelope and considers giving it to Stu, since his actions cheated them both out of the promotion, but she can't bring herself to condemn someone else to Hell. She then decides to give the button to Mrs. Ganush. Rham Jas confirms the plan will work, damning the Gypsy woman's soul to Hell. Christine drives to the graveyard and digs up Mrs. Ganush's grave. In a torrential rainstorm, Christine jams the envelope in the old woman's mouth and leaves believing she has beaten the curse.

Christine meets Clay at Los Angeles Union Station, who is preparing to propose to her in marriage; they have plans to spend a relaxing weekend in Santa Barbara. Clay gives her the envelope with the button in it. She had dropped it in his car the night before and accidentally picked up a similar one, which contained a rare coin she was planning to give to Clay. Horrified, Christine falls onto the tracks as a train barrels into the station. Just before she is struck, the ground beneath her opens and demonic arms pull her down into Hell. As the train roars through, Clay can only watch, frozen in terror as his girlfriend disappears under the stoned track. Tearful for the horrific sight that he has just witnessed, he has a brief glance at the button he is still holding in his hand before returning his attention back to the spot where Christine was dragged to her death, glancing down in horror.

this is the Complimentary pass that i got for the preview screening of Drag Me To Hell in One U GSC, the night before the movie's release date. Glad that i got this free pass from cinemaonline.com. And the most delightful thing is that, my family get to enjoy the movie and myself get to watch this night show together with my friends~ what a Win-Win situations~~ ^^

My review:
i find that this is the most recommended horror movie that i have watched these few years. the climax of the movie would be the cat-fighting between Christian and Mrs Ganush. it's really hard to imagine that an old lady manage to fight with a young lady as well as trying so hard to kill her. the one thing that i am quite uncertain is that, is the whole cat fight scene mainly to grab a button from Christine and eventually to curse Christine using that button? if so, how come Mrs Ganush were liked trying to hard and tried to choke Christine. she seems like she is trying to kill Christine. i never feel so satisfied after comparing the movie with the trailer itself. you can't imagine how many people standing at the Drag Me To Hell corner of Movie Carnival and watching its trailer over and over again for the 10 days event! people won't even blink their eyes when they were watching the trailer. this is a horror, love plus comedy, mixed with a little bit of the disgust. LOLX~ if you haven't watch it yet, DON'T WAIT!! almost everybody watched the movie, will recommend this to their friends and family. both of them did a good job. but i guess if it's Ellen Page taking the Christine Brown role, there will be different feeling.

Astro Life

today worked for the Astro Life
for just...two and a half hours
the job was super duper simple
just sit there and wait for the Hannah Montana Contest winners to come to us to claim for their present
it was much more easier than i have imagined~
and the pay was quite good also. LOLX~~
just that we had to wait for the superior for quite a while
anyway Malati is a nice lady and she is very friendly as well
especially her son, Yorshen that is so cute and he kept on telling us that he is 5 yrs old

the grand prize winner was a Indian gal and she managed to get a tea party with her friends at Subang Sheraton as well as the free movie tickets plus the goodies bag
there are so many kiddos that came to claim for their presents and most of them can speak English very very fluently! OMG~ geng~~

while Jennie and I were waiting for the winners to approach us, the Astro photographer asked us to pose for him to take some pictures
that was awkward but fun also.. LOLX~
imagine holding all the movie tickets as if they are the money or playing cards and then posing somewhere near the cinema halls entrance~
anyhow we had fun also
hopefully he will send us the pictures as he had promised lar~
cause both of us never get to take a picture just now

really thanks Jennie for introducing such a fantastic job offer to me
and i manage to get the free movie ticket to watch Hannah Montana
i have no idea..what's the reason that...
i never have any high expectation for the movie
i never check the synopsis or the story
perhaps just simply because it's too famous and i never know the reason
that's why i am kinda anti the movie at the first place
after i watched the movie..
it's amazingly that i really love the story of Hannah Montana movie
now i understand why those kids are so crazy over Hannah Montana~
it was a great movie~!
and i really glad that i got the free ticket for the show
if not i guess i will never know now good is the movie itself

another marathon

yesterday was one fine day
so i went for another movie marathon yesterday
and Wennie is with me this time

i went back to uni cause i need to send Jo back for her exams
so i decided to stay there for a couple of hours to study for a while before i heading back home later
this is totally not any planned outings or whatsoever
i was just looking for people to have lunch wit me
then so happened Wennie was outside of Uni
and she asked me to meet her in MV
at that moment, i was in the library
trying so hard to concentrate on the notes of my last subject finals
her text message managed to change my mind to continue study in the library
because i wanted so much to watch Takeshi's latest movie, K20
i hesitate for a while then i just let my feelings lead my action
so i ended up in MV to watch two movies with Wennie

He's just not that into you

this movie is a very meaningful and romantic
out of all these couples
Gigi and Alex are the sweetest one~
even though Gigi's character is not so likable at the beginning
but then thanks to Alex that keep on tutoring her~
cool~

whoever haven watch this yet.
don't wait.. i guess the movie is going to stop screening soon~
grab your pop corn and ur seats and enjoy ur movie NOW~
then the second movie of the day was K-20.

K-20

at the beginning of the movie
i found that it was kinda bored
because there is not any climax at the front part
but then it was quite funny lar..
but i like the ending part though..
being the guardian of the woman that he loved~
takeshi looked so yeng in this movie~ muahaha =)
cool~

Movie Sharing

OMG~
i have just watched this movie~
the reason that i downloaded this was because of the storyline as well as its poster. the actor is sooo handsome and the gal is sooo pretty.

anyone that haven't check out the movie, u better go and get this!! it's really really very nice~! it's romantic + funny + bit of the family touching scenes~ SWEET is the only word that i can use to describe my feelings over the movie~!

i just realized there are quite a number of US movies that incorporate with some of the indian actress and they all are really gorgeous! people keep on telling me that Slumdog Millionaire is a good one. but i still haven get to watch it yet..i'll be watching it SOON~~ maybe tonight..

in fact i still have one more last paper before i call it an end for my 6th semester.but then since i jz finished the marathon of 3 papers in 4 days, so i just want to relax myself a little bit and have some fun~ haha...

anyway, the final paper once again including all the things that my lecturer taught for the whole semester. meaning i have study all once again and i never know how on earth am i going to finish all. i may have the enough time but i don't have the enough memory space for it.. haih..
pray hard for myself then.

movie marathon

well well..
this had been the second movie marathon for me just in the year 2009 itself.
anyhow i really enjoy doing this.. SYOK~ muahahahah =)
perhaps next time i can try with 3 movies in a row and see how it goes..haha

today watch Seven Pounds and Valkyrie. well well... Seven Pounds is like..expectedly not so nice, even it's cast by one of fave actor, Will Smith. but i do like the story behind, just that the way they presented it, it's a little bit bored though. the ending was sad and yet meaningful! perhaps this movie will be helping to encourage people to sign up for those organ donation campaign...

Valkyrie is unexpectedly nice than i have imagined. i guess i have to thank Alvin on that, cause of him pahlawan k10 watching Valkyrie with a guy friend and the bad comments from me, made me not really having high expectation on Valkyrie. anyhow i never feel sleepy even for one second for the movie! too bad the ending is like..everybody are dead.. haih...

the consequence of movie marathon is...avoiding calls and also to be stucked in the traffic jams!! i really hate traffic jam sooooo much, i really dont understand why people just sooo love to stop and look at cars that are involved in the car accident, regardless it;s a big one or jz the minor case. why are PEOPLE just love to watch and observe so much but never ever think of go forward to giving people a helping hand? even though i am not yet up to that kind of level, but at least i am definitely not those people that are causing the roads jam like hell where it shouldnt be..=.="
